We teach kids how to have fun learning piano while also exploring other instruments with a variety of rhythms & movement activities!

What Your Child Will Learn In Our Class:

Children Explore and Create Music 

Play short keyboard pieces across the keyboard

Sing songs in tune, Chant, Move to the music

 Play duets and follow the leader piece

Learn signs & musical terminology, how to draw notes and symbols

We use rhythm instruments and glockenspiels, puppets, felts, games, fun sheets and other props to make learning fun!

Unlike traditional methods, we play musically by understanding tonal and rhythm music patterns which lay the foundation for reading. This is similar to the way we learn spoken languages and feels more natural to a younger child.

The order of music learning in our studio is to observe, next try simple sounds, then put those together to create musical words and sentences.  After we have worked through all this auditory fun by developing our ears we are then ready to learn to read and write what we can now say. This is very similar to how we learn to speak English! Learning to play by ear and creating is equally important as reading notes in our studio.  We feel students should be able to freely express and create at the piano. 

Preschool-Kinder aged children build performance skills, grow in musicianship and learn that music is fun! (No experience necessary!  Very minimal practice but listening assignments are strongly encouraged.)

Incentives are also a big deal in our studio! Students receive weekly rewards!
